What a day it has been. I'm sick... again and it is not fun, and the weather is extremely cold. The wind was gusting up to 40 mph today and i felt like I was gonna get blown over.

Anyways, in honor of Valentine's day, I made a little Valentine's Day Bear. My sister named him Mr. Nu Nu.

I'm quite proud of him- he's the first thing i've made without a pattern, but I did get insipration from some items i saw on etsy.

I've also been working on some baby stuff.

Here are a pair of booties that I finished and gave away as a gift. It was a free pattern from Caron's that I used and the yarn is Caron's Simply Soft.

I'm also working on a blanket that's taking a realllllly long time. The baby's not due til April though, so hopefully it'll be done in time. I'll have picture later. :)

Yay, first post, first day of the new year. New Year's was pretty low-key for me this year. I was sick, went to bed at 10:30 only to be woken up by fireworks at midnight. Someone in the area must've really wanted to celebrate in style. Turns out, another household nearby had a similar idea and I basically got to watch a fireworks battle. It was pretty amusing and totally worth being woken up for.

My last two projects of 2007 were a lovely penguin and a cute little elephant. The penguin was part of Lion Brand's Holiday amigurumi set. His tummy patch didn't turn out quite like I expected it to, though, so I had to improvise a bit on that. Oh, and he was supposed to have a hat too, but it just looked really awkward when i put it on him. Overall, I'd have to say the penguin in the picture was a lot cuter than mine, but it's still a nice pattern. As for the elephant, I think he is absolutely adorable! His trunk came out a little long, but it adds to his cuteness. To make his cheeks rosy, I just patted a bit of blush on him.

The weather was GORGEOUS yesterday, so I went for a bike ride. My butt's really sore today, but I had so much fun playing with our new camera. It's an Olympus FE-280, nothing special, but it took decent pictures :)

Haha, this one cracked me up. I think it looks like it has a little face and it's sticking its tongue out at you.

Well, it's back to typing scholarship essays for me. Maybe I'll be able to fit in some crocheting later on. I'll have to do it in secret though b/c my dad totally disapproves.
